Microgrants for Collaborations

Curio XR offers microgrants each year to promote collaborations involving content development. Depending on the circumstances, the amount of an individual grant award is $500, $1,000, $2,000, or $5,000 (please note that we do not reimburse for indirect costs). A total of up to $50,000 per year is awarded. In most cases, this involves pairing a high school or college Unity course with a subject matter expert. Subject matter experts include chemistry professors, math teachers, a group of anatomy tutors from a college learning center, etc.

Grants are awarded on a rolling basis throughout the year, so feel free to apply at any time. Round 1 is an initial application that is relatively short (see link below). The initial screening of round 1 applications is completed within 1-2 weeks of submission. If the application proceeds to round 2, a Zoom interview is conducted with the relevant parties. In rare cases, additional documentation may be requested after round 2. Final decisions and notifications are completed within 30 days of the round 2 interview.

If you would like to apply, please fill out the round 1 application: Curio XR Microgrant Application.
